M-KOPA Solar is a consumer solar energy provider headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, with additional offices in Tanzania, Nigeria and Uganda. The company mostly serves low-income African households that still rely on kerosene for lighting and power. Customers of M-KOPA enjoy 75 million hours of kerosene-free lighting per month, all for about 50 cents a day.
